Planned Features

Version 0.8.0 — Completed

•  My Day view — a view showing tasks across all projects due today
•  My Week view — a week view showing tasks due on each day.
•  Cost tracking — assign fixed or hourly costs to tasks.

Version 0.8.1 — Completed

•  Bug fixes and code improvements

Version 0.8.2 — Completed

•  My Tasks view header match the format of the other views with view chooser centered
•  Board view context menu options should be inline with Grid view and Timeline view
•  Grid & Timeline — Add "Add task below" option to the context menu

Version 0.8.3 — Completed

•  My Tasks — Add a new task to Today and Weekly views. Currently only able to add existing tasks.

Version 0.8.4 — Completed

•  Fix Dashboard date calculations for UTC+ timezones
•  Improve markdown sync reliability (proper YAML output, correct cache event hook)
•  Bug fixes and code quality improvements (Obsidian API compliance audit)

Version 0.8.5 — Completed

•  Configurable default status for new tasks — One new settings field (defaultTaskStatus), read by TaskStore.addTask(). Small effort, directly requested.
•  Timeline bar: approaching-due-date colour — A third Gantt bar colour state (amber) when due date is within a configurable threshold (e.g. 48h). Well-defined, self-contained.
• T askDetailView.getCanonicalTask() searches active project only — Same cross-project blind spot we fixed in DailyNoteTaskScanner. If a task from another project is opened via URI or My Tasks, the panel may show stale data.
•  TaskSync watchers don't re-register when projectsBasePath changes — Old folder watchers stay active after a path change at runtime. Needs the watcher map to be cleared and re-registered when the path setting changes.
•  DashboardView modals should use Obsidian Modal class — Replaces the current document.body.appendChild() pattern with a proper managed modal, improving z-index, keyboard, and lifecycle handling.
•  Reorder Dashboard project cards — Drag-and-drop already exists in Board and Grid. This would extend the same pattern to Dashboard card ordering, persisted per-project.

Version 0.8.6 — In Progress

•  Add visual feedback for reordering projects on Dashboard
•  Show/hide project cards for projects on Dashboard
•  Configurable KPI cards for projects on Dashboard

Version 0.9.0 — Planned

•  Move tasks between projects
•  View multiple projects in each view
•  Project Archive — option to store completed projects in an archive which can be exported
•  Export Dashboard — allow export of KPIs to csv and/or json file
•  Full calendar view — a monthly view showing tasks due for each day. released in v0.8.4
•  Per-project customization for statuses, priorities and tags.
•  Copy or duplicate projects / Save project as a template.

Version 1.0.0 — Planned

•  Automated Grid view — when applied, automatically add tasks to buckets based on user defined rules
